The release handle forms the release unit with the carbon or steel cartridge and is required to trigger the system and inflate the airbag.
Due to the durability of the integrated capsule, this must be replaced every three years. You can find the expiry date on the red lid on the side of the handle.
Please note that if the system is triggered without an integrated pressure bottle, the system requires service in order to continue to guarantee full functionality.
